As you fly in from Zanzibar to Serengeti and drive to Serengeti National Park, this expedition will take you to the endless plains of Serengeti. There, you will have an opportunity to see a variety of wildlife species live in action in their natural habitat. Serengeti National Park is well-known for its great migrating herds of zebras, antelopes, and wildebeests which migrate together looking for fresh pasture, grasses, and water, especially during the rainy seasons.

Day 2

Serengeti National Park

You will enjoy an early breakfast and set off on your wildlife-viewing drive to explore this incredible park. The Serengeti is the habitat for an abundance of wildlife, such as impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, and hippos, but is more well-known for its great migrating herds of zebras, wildebeest, and antelopes. The animals’ trek is determined by the rainfall and varies from year to year. Apart from the migrating herds, you may see predators, such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions plying their rough trade. After a full day of beautiful experience, you'll depart for an overnight stay.

Day 3

Central Serengeti National Park to Southern Serengeti (Ndutu)

Central Serengeti National Park to Southern Serengeti (Ndutu)

You'll have an early breakfast and then depart to Central Serengeti. Along the drive, you will be able to spot giraffes, zebras, and other animals. Prepare to be amazed when you catch your first glimpse of the endless plains of the Serengeti. The Serengeti National Park is home to the great migration. It is also a world heritage site teeming with wildlife. In the afternoon, you will be on your way to the Ndutu Area, Ndutu is a very beautiful region and rich in wild animals. In addition, it is the only nature reserve in Tanzania where you are allowed to drive off-road. This allows you to get very close to the animals. Many predators are attracted by the calving happening here and roam this vast plain: lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and hundreds of wild dogs! Wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles come here to give birth to their calves and stay here until April.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu

Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu

Early morning after breakfast, you will depart for Ngorongoro Crater. You will have an opportunity to spot the endangered black rhino and large families of lions. The crater was created when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. It is famous for both its geological delights and for being a natural reserve that is home to some of the densest large mammal populations in the whole of the African continent. Later in the afternoon, you'll be on your way to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Early morning after breakfast. You'll depart to Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tarangire River which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. In places, the vegetation is quite dense, including elephant grass and acacia woodlands. The park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. After a packed lunch, you'll head for your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay at Ang'ata camp inside the camp.
