After breakfast, you will be picked up from the camp and driven to the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater with picnic lunch boxes for a game drive. Often referred to as the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater globally. It formed about two million years ago when the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, leading its walls to collapse. The sunken volcano floor created a natural enclosure with 600-meter-tall walls. Today, the crater spans over 19 kilometers wide and is filled with diverse habitats, including acacia forests, hippo-filled swamps, and open grasslands. These habitats are home to over 30,000 animals, including elephants, warthogs, flamingos, a variety of birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros, and all the predatory cats. You may also see the Maasai grazing their cattle alongside other wildlife like buffalo and wildebeest.
