Day 1

After breakfast, you'll depart from Entebbe to Kibale National Park. Kibale National Park has the highest concentration and variety of primates in East Africa with 13 species and overall 60 mammal species and so far offers the best excellent chimpanzee tracking in Uganda. You'll dine and sleep at your lodge as you wait to meet man’s closest relative the following day.

Day 2

After breakfast on day 2, you will report to the park headquarters for a briefing and proceed for chimpanzee tracking near Kanyanchu. This is a stunning activity that draws you closer to man’s closest relative, it can take you up to 6 hours. There are other primates in the area, like the L’Hoest monkey, baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey, red colobus, blue monkeys, and pottos. Other animals include forest elephants, unique from the common type, giant forest hogs, and a striking tree species.
You'll enjoy lunch and later take a guided nature walk to the Bigodi Swamp Sanctuary, a good site for birders. The Great Blue Turaco and Papyrus Gonolek can easily be marked among the other 137 bird species. There is also an array of butterfly species that can be encountered during your chimpanzee experience. Afterward, you will be transferred from Kibale to Queen Elizabeth via Fort Portal Kasese Road. You'll have dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 3

You'll enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee before going on an early morning game drive. This allows you to see the early risers who come out to hunt before going back to their safe havens. You'll catch sight of warthogs, buffaloes, leopards, and many others, including primates like the colobus monkeys. You will return to the lodge for lunch and refreshments. Then, you'll go on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Here, you will also see spectacular sights of bird species, flora, and fauna.

Day 4
Transfer from Queen Elizabeth back to Entebbe
Transfer from Queen Elizabeth back to Entebbe
You will rise up early for breakfast at 7:30 am and then prepare to check out of the lodge at 8:30 am. Then, you will hit the road back to Kampala but expect to eat lunch on the way in Mbarara town. Then, you'll proceed to Entebbe. You will be driven to your hotel/ the airport.
