Rest and sleep in Entebbe. Depend on your time of arrival, there is an option to go to Mabamba Swamp for a unique shoebill stork tour (half day with transport). This trip includes a boat ride on Lake Victoria, followed by a 1-1.5 viewing of shoebill and lunch in the nearby Nkima Lodge.

Transfer from Entebbe / Kampala to Crater Lakes.
Today's trip will take us from Buganda to Tooro kingdom to Crater Lakes region near Fort Portal, seeing variety of landscape, including picturesque tea plantations at the end. About 5 - 6 hours' drive.

We explore the Crater Lakes area, which includes seeing several lakes, enjoying beautiful views of Rwenzori Mountains. Monkeys (black and red colobus, blue monkey, and others) can be seen in the area forests. Swimming is safe in one of the lakes if desired. Optional: Nearby Kibale NP is the primate capital of the world with a possibility of chimp trekking.

Drive through the Western Uganda (Tooro, Bunyoro) goes on the edge of the Albertine Rift intercepted with some forest areas, and a stop in Budongo, the largest forest reserve in Uganda, to see the chimpanzees (2-hour activity) in the early afternoon.
We arrive at our private bush camp in the northern part of Murchison Falls to begin our wildlife safari.
Our private and exclusive mobile camp offers spacious tents with full-size mattresses. Amenities include gazebos, dining areas, hammocks, a mini library, and a bush bar. We provide toilets, showers, and wash basins, with a dedicated team to meet guest needs.

Murchison Falls is Uganda's largest park - plenty to explore here. We stay in our private camp with no other tourists around, with an opportunity to explore the area on foot.
We go on an early morning walk exploring the Nyamsika area (2.5-4 hours) with plentiful wildlife and stunning scenery.
After midday rest, we continue exploring the vast plains around the Nile delta with bounty of wildlife. We return to Nyamsika to enjoy stunning sunset and views with a sundowner.

After another walk in the morning, we embark on an exciting boat ride to the bottom of the falls while seeing plenty of elephants, giraffes, crocs, hippos and other animals and the shores.
Then it is time for a brisk 45 min walk through the river jungle to the top of these powerful falls. After lunch break, we return to our private camp for rest. Late afternoon option for a shorter walk or a game drive depending on your desire.

Time to move to another savannah wildlife destination in the northeastern Karamoja. The road trip today leads relatively flat western Acholi to dramatic mountains of the Karamoja northeast, leaving behind southern jungles. Optional stops include beautiful Aruu Falls. About 8 hours' drive.

Early morning we will walk across wide open savannahs learning all the small detail about the ecosystems, while also seeing lots of large animals. Nothing can beat approaching a group of giraffes while by passing a herd of buffaloes or elephants. Afternoon we will explore more stunning corners of this park in a game drive vehicle and walk up one of the big rocky outcrops for a sundowner overlooking entire valley.

This landscape offers a variety of other hiking opportunities. Mt. Morungole (2,750 asl) towers over the plains and is home to an isolated Ik tribe. Easier hike (but stunning views) is to venture up Mt. Lomek separating the two park valleys. The area offers unique opportunity to witness the culture of local Dodoth people.

Today we will encounter one of the most scenic drives in Uganda through rugged Karamoja - vast open plains with several big mountains rising to the sky. Various rocky formations and spires await. Optional activity is stopping in one of the largest traditional villages in East Africa: Nakapelimoru – the home of nomadic Jie tribe of Karamojong people.

Day 11

Setting off from Moroto early, we will be at our destination at lunchtime enjoying tasty local lunch. We still pass wide open plains of Pian Upe seeing some wildlife (such as ostrich) and an imposing Mt. Qadam (3,000 m) over it. Afternoon we stretch our legs and hike to explore Sipi Falls. These are three picturesque falls at the base of Mt. Elgon in the heart of small villages and coffee farms, where we can learn all about growing and making coffee. About 5 hours' drive.

Our fantastic journey is at the end and we either return to Kampala optional with a stop in Jinja at the source of the Nile or drop you in nearer Kigali for your return journey. Possible to extend your trip to explore more. About 6 hour's drive to Kampala.
