You'll begin your adventure with a 7:40 am transfer from O.R. Tambo International Airport. A 600km scenic drive north unfolds, pausing for lunch (own expense). At 2:30 pm, you'll reach Phalaborwa, meeting your Wild Planet Safari guide and chef. You'll drive 2 more hours to Punda Maria Gate, entering Kruger National Park's far north. Punda Maria rest camp becomes your base for the first 2 nights, featuring luxury safari tents with bushveld views, twin beds, a kitchen, electricity, and a private bathroom.

You'll savor the African sunset, and enjoy a dinner under the stars. This marks the start of an unforgettable journey into the North of Kruger National Park, promising captivating wildlife sightings. Day 3

Today kicks off with an early drive around Dimbo Hill in the Punda Maria area, a prime spot for leopard sightings. After breakfast, you'll bid farewell to Punda Maria, heading south to Shingwedzi. On the 70 km safari drive, you'll encounter herds of buffalos, elephants, bucks, and possibly elusive leopards. This region is known for rare antelope species like elands and roans.

Shingwedzi camp, nestled along the river, offers stunning views. You'll spend time on a bench by the river, observing wildlife. The camp provides amenities like a swimming pool, laundry services, and a quaint shop.

On arrival, you'll enjoy lunch at the camp restaurant (own expense). You'll relax by the pool or take a siesta. In the afternoon, you'll go on a safari along the river, passing waterholes favored by spotted hyenas and riverine forests, a haven for secretive leopards.

The day ends with dinner at the camp. Shingwedzi promises a day of diverse wildlife and relaxation.

You'll embark on the final morning drive tracing the Shingwedzi River for potential predator sightings. After the drive, you'll savor breakfast before bidding farewell, setting course for Letaba.

The 109 km journey winds through Mopane grasslands, revealing herds of wildebeest, zebra, and elephants.

Nestled along the Letaba River, Letaba houses the renowned Elephant Hall—a museum dedicated to the magnificent 7, the 7 largest tuskers in Kruger’s history. Facilities include laundry, a curio shop, a swimming pool, and lookout points.

Upon arrival, have lunch, followed by an opportunity to explore Letaba’s offerings. In the afternoon, you'll join a drive along the leopard route, running alongside the Letaba River, providing chances for birding and encounters with the elusive leopard.

At sunset, enjoy an own expense dinner at the camp restaurant. The evening unfolds with a thrilling night drive—an adventure guided by a Kruger expert, uncovering the mysteries of the nocturnal realm.

Departing from Letaba, our leisurely safari drive towards the exit gate offers a reflective journey through the captivating landscapes.

At approximately 10 am, you'll meet the transfer team in Phalaborwa and ensure your smooth return to Johannesburg. The scenic route over the Drakensberg escarpment unfolds. Arrival at O.R. Tambo Airport is anticipated between 5 and 6 pm.

Please be mindful not to schedule departing flights from Johannesburg before 7:00 pm for domestic flights and 8:00 pm for international flights.
