Spanning 19 kilometers wide, the crater boasts diverse landscapes, including acacia forests, hippo-filled swamps, and open grasslands. Following breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park for an enthralling game drive. Covering an expansive 3,000 square kilometers, Tarangire is renowned for its abundant elephant population and iconic baobab trees.

The park derives its name from the meandering Tarangire River that traverses its expanse. Particularly remarkable during the dry season (June - November), Tarangire showcases wildlife concentrations akin to those in the Serengeti.

With its diverse habitats and the permanent water source of the Tarangire River, the park boasts a population of over 2,000 elephants and hosts 500 bird species. You'll enjoy lunch within the park before returning to Arusha, and from there, proceed to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar.
