Depending on your location you will be picked either at the airport (early arrival/morning) or at the hotel after breakfast and head to Tarangire National Park in the Manyara Region. The name Tarangire originated from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. Ranking as the 06th largest national park in Tanzania and covering an area of 2,600 square kilometers, it is most popular for its large elephant herds. However, its vegetation is much greener with lots of grass, vast areas with mixed acacia woodlands and some of the wonderful ribbons of the aquatic forest. The park is also famous for the giant baobab trees that can live up to 600 years, storing between 300 and 900 liters of water.
Lunch will be served at a picnic area inside the park. After an intensive game drive you will proceed to your lodge for relaxation, swim and an overnight.

Drive from Tarangire National Park through Ngorongoro Highlands toward Serengeti National Park
Another day for making more memories with us Silvergrass Adventures. After breakfast, you will be picked up and depart to Serengeti via the Ngorongoro highlands. Passing though the highlands you will enjoy scenic views of Tanzania. Inside Ngorongoro conservancy you will get out of your vehicle stretch your legs and enjoy the view of Ngorongoro Crater. Take some photos at the Crater view point. As you proceed to Serengeti you will see some Maasai Boma (Masai houses) and if interested you will have an opportunity to visit and learn more of Maasai. Later you will proceed to Serengeti National Park, a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife. Over 2 million ungulates, 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs and some 500 bird species inhabit an area close to 15,000 square kilometers in size. Later you will proceed to your camp for evening leisure and an overnight.

This day is dedicated for the full time drive chasing for big five and other animals. The game to Serengeti gives the chance of not only seeing but also hearing the buzz of millions of wildebeest so thick in the air that it vibrates through your entire body. It is something that will turn you to a story teller for you family and friends. Lunch will be served in the midst of Serengeti National Park at either in the picnic area or anyplace that you will agree with your driver guide. After an intense game drive you will proceed to your camp for evening leisure, dinner and an overnight.

Ngorongoro crater, your truly safari destination
After breakfast you will proceed with the game to Ngorongoro Crater for more game drives. Ngorongoro is a home a home to over 120 species of mammals including the famous Big Five (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhino) and one among the world’s heritage site. The crater is a place to see the endangered black rhinos enjoying their meals out on the grass plain and the large number of hippos enjoying the cool water. Other animals including Lions, leopards, jackals, cheetahs, hyenas’ wildebeest, Zebra, antelope, buffalo and more. Ngorongoro crater is a truly safari destination. After your all exciting time at the crater you will ascend and proceed to your lodge for overnight.

Lake Manyara National ''the famous for its tree climbing lions and the flamingos''
Depart after breakfast to Lake Manyara National Park, the famous for its tree climbing lions and the flamingos on the lakeshore. Its groundwater forests, bush plains, baobab-strewn cliffs, and algae-streaked hot springs offer incredible ecological variety in a small area, rich in wildlife and incredible numbers of birds. Pink flamingos stoop and graze by the thousands, colorful specks against the grey minerals of the lakeshore. It is only 205sq miles in size; this park is noted for its beauty and incredibly lush acacia forest of giant fig and mahogany trees which are a home to troops of baboons and blue monkey. The shallow alkaline lake covers a large area of the park, flooding and drying with the seasons and is a home to thousands of flamingos during the rain seasons. Other animals can be seen here including giraffes, elephants, impalas and the hippos. Later you will drive back to Arusha and being transferred to the airport for your departure home or extension to Zanzibar.
