Day 1

You will be picked up from the airport and driven north past the equator to the semi arid Samburu National Reserve and check in your campsite and right on time for your lunch. Set out for an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Samburu National Reserve is a premier game reserve as it offers unique wildlife conservation haven, famous for an abundance of rare species of animals and is also home to a population of close to 900 Species. Birdlife is also abundant with over 450 species recorded. Another exciting fact is that kamunyak the Famous Lioness that adapted a baby oryx was a resident in the reserve. Wild dogs sightings are also a common attraction to this unique protected area. Dinner and overnight stay at your camp.

Exploring Samburu

Samburu offers a number of notably exciting activities and one of the most thrilling of these is the safari game viewing and Bird watching especially if one’s fascinated with ornithology. The geography and climate of Samburu allows for quality wildlife viewing all around the year. Another experience is Samburu Cultural Tour which allows visitors a fascinating insight into the unique way of life of the Samburu people. In addition there are nature walks, camel trekking safaris, bush meals and sundowners.
The reserve has a rich and diverse collection of wildlife with an abundance of the Samburu special five grevy's zebra, somali ostrich, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk & the beisa oryx.

Day 3

Samburu - Lake Nakuru National Park

Samburu - Lake Nakuru National Park

After having breakfast at the camp after the morning Game drive, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru is one of the soda lakes in the rift valley, famous for it’s Pink flamingoes. Has both the greater and lesser flamingo species. And is also home to over 400 birds species The park was designated as a bird sanctuary in 195Os. The park is also endowed with amazing raised ridges that not only compliment the park’s beauty but also offer amazing view points for birding, game viewing and sightseeing. The park experiences two seasons rainy & sunny seasons. Park also has a well established road network within the park.

Day 4

Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha

Lake Nakuru - Lake Naivasha

The Lake is home to a variety of different wildlife Species including around 400 Different Bird Species and a sizeable population of Hippos. There are also two smaller lakes in the vicinity; Lake Oloiden & Lake Sonachi ( a green crater lake ). Other unique attractions include The Crescent Island, it is a private island sanctuary that is found along the great rift valley region. The island is not fenced thus making it possible for animals to roam freely. It’s also one of the few places where nature walks are permitted at the park.
Lake Naivasha is also called sheer adventure located in the rising part of the great rift valley has unique features like the extinct volcano called Mt Longonot, a thick forest is found along the crater mountain. The park is dominated by umbrella acacia trees that are mostly found along the banks of the lake. Apart from transient streams, the lake Naivasha is fed by the perennial Malewa & Gilgil rivers.

Day 5

Lake Naivasha - Masai Mara

Have an early morning game drive to Hell’s Gate National Park. This is the only park in Kenya where one can cycle or walk while seeing the animals. Thereafter, depart for the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at Masai Mara National Reserve in time for an introductory game drive. Masai Mara is part of the Serengeti vast plains famously known for it’s spectacular great wildebeest migration and is home to the Big Five : Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. You will also be able to visit the Masai Village on this day so as to interact with the community a bit, learn ad get a better understanding of the Masai Rich culture cause it’s believed experience is the best way to learn. This prepares you for a full day game drive on the next day. We later drive back to the lodge for Dinner and your overnight stay.

Mara means spotted in the local masai language of Maa, due to many trees which dot the landscape. Masai Mara is the heart of Kenyan tourism, Nowhere in Africa is wildlife more abundant.
After breakfast, you’ll leave for a full day game drive with your packed lunch.
The amazing wildlife experience continues. Mara is home to a breathtaking array of life, is home to the big five and popular species like Zebra, Giraffe, Hyena Thomson & Grants Gazelle. Your picnic lunch will be at the Mara River migration point. After your picnic lunch, you will have some rest before embarking on your late afternoon game drive until late in the evening. We will later drive back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Enjoy another full day exploring the endless plains of Masai Mara. Masai mara National Reserve is a 1510sq Km Wildlife area which is a small extension of the larger Serengeti National Park. Though there are many fascinating animals to be found in the Mara, sighting the lions is often the highlight of a safari game drive. The lions are the one’s that arouse so much awe and admiration, and we can also say the same about the Great Masai Mara wildebeest Migration the excitement it brings, quite unmatched and incredible.
