You will be picked up from Maun Airport to enjoy your 4-day tour of the Okavango Delta, a unique wetland system of rivers, crystal-clear channels, islands and lagoons that creates a safe haven for innumerable bird and wildlife species.

You'll stay at the Island Safari Lodge which offers comfortable accommodation in a lush garden. It is well spaced out. Each room has a lovely view across the tree-lined garden towards the banks of the Thamalakane River, a cool and welcoming oasis in the heart of Maun. Shaded under a huge canopy of large trees, the lodge overlooks the river and floodplain.

After lunch, you will be picked up for a scenic helicopter/plane flight over the Okavango Delta. The flight will allow you to witness the patchwork landscape of islands, plains and lagoons, perfectly illustrating its raw and spectacular beauty. Mokoro Day Trip

You will be picked up after breakfast for a mokoro day trip into the Okavango Delta. The delta is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffalos, and a variety of bird species. A mokoro trip is an excellent way to see this incredible wildlife up close. The trips are guided by experienced polers who navigate the mokoro through the shallow waters and reeds. The pace is slow, allowing you to take in the breathtaking scenery and sounds of the delta and immerse yourself in the unique and peaceful environment.

Later, enjoy a picnic lunch and continue to investigate the delta in the canoe over the famous delta. In addition to wildlife viewing, a mokoro trip is also an opportunity to learn about the traditional way of life in the delta and understand the relationship between the people and the environment. After the tour, you will return to the lodge late afternoon for a short rest before dinner.
