Mkomazi National Park is located in northern Tanzania, nestled between Moshi and Tanga. The park is set against the stunning backdrop of the Pare and Usambara mountains, and on clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro can also be seen from its boundaries.

The vegetation in Mkomazi marks the southern tip of the Sahel zone, resembling a dry, desert-like landscape. The climate supports acacia-commiphora woodlands, transitioning to dry land forest as you move toward the western mountains. Notably, Mkomazi is one of the few places in Tanzania where you can see endangered black rhinos.
