Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

On arrival you will be welcomed by our tourist guide at the airport. Have your bags packed and he will brief you on the tour and start your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with stop at Kayabwe Equator Point to take photos and later continue with your Journey to Bwindi Impenetrable with an en route lunch. Arrive in the evening at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Mountain Tracking Experience and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Wake up early in the morning and prepare yourself for the day. Dress in the long pants, long sleeved shirts, hat, waterproof hiking shoes and enjoy your breakfast. Get your packed lunch and enough water and head to the vehicle to drive to the visitor information center for briefing.
Get the briefed about the gorilla tracking and entertainment from the community. You will be put in groups of 8 people and accompanied by 2 armed rangers, ranger guide and a porter in case you require their services to track each family.
Start your walk through the forest for the search of the mountain gorillas and up on locating them, you will spend a maximum of an hour learning about their behavior, social structure, feeding and challenges they face in their daily lives.
Spot other primates and wildlife like monkeys, forest elephants, birds. Receive a tracking certificate and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for a boat ride.

Morning Boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi and Transfer to Entebbe International Airport

Wake up prepare yourself and have breakfast. Embark on the morning boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi. The deepest lake in Uganda and its name means small birds. The local guide will take you around the different islands explaining to you the history. Visit the punishment island where girls who got pregnant before marriage would be taken to that island to die or to be rescued by the fishermen who could not afford to pay bride price. The lake has over 29 islands which offers the best views and relaxation from the long mountain gorilla tracking.
After the boat ride, drive to Entebbe International Airport with an enroute lunch arriving in the evening for your flight back home after making your dream a reality for tracking the mountain gorillas up close.
