Transfer to Bwindi Forest for the Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari

On your arrival at the Airport, you'll be warmly greeted by our company representative, who will serve as your knowledgeable safari guide. After a brief yet informative session, we embark on an unforgettable 8-hour journey, heading southwards from the bustling city of Kampala. Our adventure begins with a memorable stopover at the equator, a perfect opportunity for capturing iconic photographs to commemorate this special moment. Energized and enthused, we continue our journey, making our way to Mbarara town for a delightful lunch break.
As we resume our road trip, be prepared to be captivated by the breathtaking sights of lush plantations, sweeping landscapes, and vibrant highway vegetable markets that dot the roadside.
The journey is as much a part of the experience as the destination itself, offering moments of wonder and discovery at every turn. Finally, we arrive at the lodge where we'll be treated to a delicious dinner and settle in for a restful overnight stay.

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National park

Prepare for an extraordinary mountain gorilla trekking experience by waking early and donning the recommended attire: long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt, waterproof hiking shoes, a waterproof jacket, a round hat, and heavy-duty gloves to combat the unpredictable forest weather. After breakfast, meet your guide for a pre-trek briefing. With a group of 8 and armed rangers, embark on the trek. Be mentally and physically prepared for the challenging terrain and consider your fitness level when selecting a gorilla family to track. Be ready for varying durations, from 45 mins to 6 hours, based on gorilla location. Encounter diverse wildlife and learn from your guide about the ecosystem. Upon meeting the gorilla family, enjoy a mesmerizing hour observing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Respect their space, avoid direct eye contact with the dominant silverback, and maintain a calm demeanor if confronted. Receive a trekking certificate and return to the lodge for relaxation.
