Day 2

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

Since a lot of wild animals are more active at night and in the early morning hours before the sun becomes hot, you get up early on this particular day, you will have plenty of opportunities to view them. The unique opportunity to witness lions, leopards, or cheetahs hunting exists. The dew on the grass makes it easy to spot more wild cats. In this expansive national park, your safari guide will make sure to show you a lot of animals. The Big Five call it home and it is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. If it is migration season you will have an opportunity to witness the wildebeests migration accompanied by herds of zebras, gazelles and elands. You're going to have a great midday meal in the park. After a great game drive, you will later go back to your accommodation for overnight stay and relaxing.

About 120 lions with clearly defined territories live in the crater, together with 15,000 wildebeest, 9,000 zebra, 400 hyenas, and about 50 black rhinos. There are a lot of resident wildebeests and other herd animals that profit from the year-round waters and are supplemented by some migrators during certain seasons. There are also many of Thomson's gazelles, elands, and buffalos. Swamps and ponds are home to hippos, and the abundant and colorful highland wildlife surrounds the waterways.
