1-Day Drive from Dar Es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Our safari driver will meet and greet you at 3:30am. You will have a short briefing of the day's activities before departing at 4:00am to Mikumi National Park. By 7:15am, you will stop at Cate Hotel in Morogoro, beside the Uluguru Mountains, for a hot, buffet-style breakfast. After 35 minutes, you will proceed with the drive to Mikumi.

Mikumi National Park is accessible throughout the year, as it is close to Dar es Salaam. By road, it takes 6 hours (300km/190mi).

After a morning of watching wildlife, you will enjoy your buffet-style lunch in Mikumi Bandas at midday and continue with game viewing until late afternoon. The game drive will finish at 3:00pm. From here, we will take you to the nearby Masai village to experience Masai tradition and culture and learn about their way of life. This activity will take almost an hour.

In the evening, we will depart Mikumi National Park and start the drive back to Dar es Salaam, which will be the end of our service.
