Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Tracking
On this day, you will enjoy your breakfast at your hotel in Entebbe OR Kampala set off for Ziwa Rhino sanctuary. I really advise that you make this stop over since it will give you the complete feel of the “big five” in Uganda. With an en-route lunch, you shall make a stopover at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to track the endangered southern white rhinos before continuing to Murchison. Ziwa rhino sanctuary is home and the breeding place to the endangered southern white rhinos for their re introduction into the wild where they existed before being wiped out in the 1980s. It is the only place where they can be spotted in the wild. Then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. The driver/guide will then transfer you to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of falls
Begin your day at 6 am with coffee and a snack, gearing up for a game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. Spot nocturnal creatures and predators like lions, leopards, and hyenas in their active state. Keep your camera ready for sightings of antelopes, giraffes, buffaloes, and hippos. Encounter Nubian Giraffes, known for their majestic presence, with insights from your knowledgeable guide enhancing the experience.
After breakfast, continue the game drive until midday, then return to the lodge for relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic 3-hour boat cruise along the Nile River, spotting Nile crocodiles, hippos, and aquatic birds. Look out for elephants and buffaloes on the riverbanks.

Early viewing the top of the falls and transfer to Kibale National Park
Today, wake up early in the morning, savor a hearty breakfast before checking out. Drive slowly through the park, taking in the sights, and later visit the magnificent Murchison Falls. Marvel at the breathtaking views and the thunderous sound of the falls as they squeeze through the narrow gorge, cascading into the pool below.
After enjoying the spectacle of Murchison Falls, proceed to Kibale Forest National Park for a chimpanzee tracking experience. Along the way, relish the scenic views of tea estates and forests where olive baboons roam freely. Admire the legendary Rwenzori Mountain in the backdrop of the volcanic landscape. Make a stopover in Fort Portal City for lunch before continuing your journey to the park.
In Kibale NP, encounter various primate species, including black and white colobus monkeys. The park is also home to forest elephants, antelopes, and a diverse array of bird species, including the Albertine Rift endemics. Check in at your booked lodge for an overnight stay.

Chimpanzee tracking and Bigodi community walk
Start your day early with a quick breakfast, then head to the park headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking protocols. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, venture into the forest to track chimpanzees and other primates in their natural habitat, renowned as the primate capital of the world. Encounter forest dwellers like L’hoest monkeys, black-faced colobus monkeys, and baboons. The highlight is observing the playful antics, communication, and feeding habits of the chimpanzees, typically allowed for an hour. Keep an eye out for forest bird species and colorful butterflies.
After lunch, embark on the Bigodi evening tour led by your guide. This wetland sanctuary near Kibale Forest is renowned for its colobus and blue monkeys, as well as a rich variety of birdlife. Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park via ishasha
Wake up at 5:30 am to prepare for a long journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, approximately 8 hours from Kibale Forest National Park. Enjoy interesting stopovers along the way and have lunch at Topi Lodge in Ishasha. Continue the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, reaching late in the evening. If time allows, go for a hike to the Batwa pygmies local village situated on a steep hill. Interact with the community, learning about their hunting techniques, honey gathering, and traditional medicine making. Experience their traditional clothing and child-rearing practices. Enjoy lunch prepared during the trail and witness a beautiful dance and drumming performance. The Batwa trail is a wonderful experience to add to your gorilla safari in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Return to the lodge for overnight stay.

Gorilla tracking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Prepare for a mountain gorilla trekking expedition by donning appropriate attire: long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt, waterproof hiking shoes, a jacket, hat, and sturdy gloves. After breakfast and packing lunch, meet your guide for a pre-trek briefing at the park information center, receiving guidance on etiquette and safety protocols.
Joined by a group of eight trekkers, each assigned a gorilla family, accompanied by armed rangers and a guide, embark on a journey into the forest. Traverse trails ranging from 45 minutes to 6 hours, depending on gorilla movement. Mental and physical preparedness is crucial, with the option to select a family closer to your fitness level. Upon encountering your gorilla family, observe their dynamics under the watchful silverback.
Afterward, receive a trekking certificate for supporting conservation efforts. Conclude with a drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on the awe-inspiring moments shared with mountain gorillas.

Return to Entebbe and Departure
Wake up early in the morning and have your bags loaded to your vehicle. Have your breakfast and after drive back to Entebbe for your flight back home. You will have a stopover at Kayabwe Equator for en route lunch and taking memorable photographs at the equator monument. Transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your departure.
