1-Day Drive from Dar Es Salaam to Nyerere/Selous NP

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Early this morning in Dar es Salaam you'll be met by our safari team. They will greet you and get you ready to begin your journey with us. At 4:00 am, our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Dar and start driving to Nyerere/Selous National Park. Your drive will only take 4 hours. You'll have breakfast and lunch at the park. You'll go on a guided game drive through Nyerere/Selous NP where you'll look for the predators (big cats, African wild dogs), elephants, and hippos that animate Tanzania's southern safari. Around 4:00 pm, you'll be en route slowly to Dar es Salaam arriving at 8:00 pm.

Everyone should visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Selous at least once in a lifetime. Looking for zebras, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, wildebeest, elephants, rare spotted hyenas, leopards, lots of lions, and African wild dogs. The views are also impressive, with rocky hills, palm-fringed lakes, and the wide Rufiji River running through the heart of the reserve.
