Arrival and Panorama Route Tour

You will board your shuttle early in the morning and embark on a scenic drive through 3 provinces of our beautiful country. You'll meet your Khalanga Safaris guide along the way, and enjoy seeing some of the scenic sights of the Northern Drakensberg Mountains. Later, you will check in at your lodge, where you have dinner by the light of the stars and the light of a fire.

Kruger National Park Safari

You will get up at dawn to make the most of our Kruger safari. You'll spend the morning in search of all the animals, including, but not limited to, the Big Five. The dedicated and professional field guide will frequent dams, waterholes, and riverbeds where animals are most frequently seen to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities. He will also show you different landscapes and tell you about the importance of vegetation and soil for the different animal species that live there.

Later in the morning, you will stop at one of the picnic spots or at the rest camp, where you'll enjoy the breakfast prepared for you by the lodge. For lunch, you'll stop at one of the rest camps (at your own cost). You'll continue your safari in the afternoon and return to the lodge where dinner will be waiting for you.

All game drives are conducted on an open safari vehicle that gives you a perfect vantage point for viewing and photographing animals from their best angle, high over the bushes and grasses.

Cultural Tour and Afternoon Safari in Private Game Reserve

Today, you'll visit a rural African community typical for the area surrounding Kruger National Park. This is a real village, so nobody is performing for you although the community elders approve bringing foreign visitors to see how they live. On this authentic and ethical tour, you are highly unlikely to encounter any other tourists. Lunch in the village is included. In the afternoon, you'll make your way to Tshukudu Private Game Reserve, where you'll join a shared afternoon game drive before enjoying a scrumptious dinner prepared by your private guide back at camp. You'll spend the last night on this safari at Tshukudu Bush Camp in a cozy cottage in the middle of the bush.

Return to OR Tambo Airport

Depending on the time of the year you can join a morning walk on the reserve, guided by a Tshukudu Ranger. Alternatively, you can have a relaxed breakfast at camp before we take you back to the shuttle departure location, where it will be time to say your goodbyes. You will reach OR Tambo Airport at around 5.00 pm.
