Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

On the way to Serengeti, you will pass by the Ngorongoro Crater and enjoy the crater view before starting your transfer game drive. The name Serengeti originates from the Maasai word Siringitu and means endless plains. You will see why the Maasai gave this region this name as the grassland savannah stretches to the horizon in the South and is only interrupted by the so-called kopjes. These kopjes are bizarre rock formations formed by the weathering of granite outcrops. The plains are the perfect hunting grounds for leopards and other big cats. You will have an excellent chance to view these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat through the open roof of the vehicle. In the afternoon, you will have a standard home meal and then, later on, arrive at your campsite destination for the overnight and dinner. You will have a close view of animals as the sun sets at Seronera campsite.

Lake Eyasi Cultural Visit to Arusha

Early morning, we'll begin our day with a breakfast or parked breakfast before heading to Lake Eyasi, where we'll immerse ourselves in the fascinating traditions of the Hadzabe and Datoga people. We'll start by visiting the Hadzabe, also known as the Bushmen of Lake Eyasi, renowned for their hunter-gatherer lifestyle. In their arid landscape of savanna woodland, we'll explore Hadzabe hiding caves, join in fruit gathering and wild honey collection, and test our skills with their traditional bow and arrow. If luck is on our side, we might even witness a successful hunt, with the hunters sharing the meat among themselves and taking some home for their families.
In the afternoon we venture to another tour, the Datooga or Barbaig people. Visiting one of their villages, we'll be awed by the intricate blacksmith works of the Datooga males, created from discarded scraps. Later, we'll head to the lodge for lunch then drive back to Arusha.
