Dar es Salaam - Nyerere National Park

Today you will be picked up by a guide at your hotel, the airport, or your arriving ferry for a safari briefing. You will then drive south to Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park), which is an approximately three and a half-hour drive from Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, you will have lunch and then go on an afternoon boat safari on the Rufiji River. Your overnight stay will be at the lodge on a full board basis.

Nyerere National Park

After breakfast, you will go for a full day of game drives in the park with packed lunch boxes in hand. After your picnic lunch and some relaxation, you will continue with the game drive until the evening. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Nyerere National Park provides shelter for a large number of elephants, lions, and significant populations of buffaloes, wild dogs, crocodiles, and hippopotamuses. The Rufiji River also hosts abundant birdlife.

Nyerere National Park - Dar es Salaam/Zanzibar

Start the day with a morning walking safari. After the walking safari, which takes around two and a half hours, you will return to your lodge to shower and have breakfast. After breakfast, you will drive back to Dar es Salaam with packed lunch boxes in hand. Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home or at your hotel/ferry for your transfer to Zanzibar or Mafia Island.
