Your journey starts wit a pickup from Entebbe. Through the outskirts of Kampala via the express route, head southwards. At the immaginary line that divides the earth into the Northern and southern hemispheres, have a moment to refresh and take photos. Your journey continues to Igongo Cultural Centre where you will have a glimpse into the Ankole culture. Enjoy the African cuisine as you learn about the people of Uganda. Through the beautiful landscapes, your journey will continue to the tropical rainforest.

Day 2

Gorilla Tracking

Gorilla Tracking

Bwindi is a diverse tropical rainforest known for numerous bird species, butterflies and mammals. It also has the greatest concentration of mountain gorillas. Early in the morning you will arrive at the starting point depending on the gorilla family you will be allocated.
Following the tracking ceremony and briefing, you will embark on the trekking exercise guided with knowledgeable rangers and trackers. This is a vigorous activity and it may take many hours depending on how far the gorillas have moved. Once you have found the gorillas, you will have a full hour entirely to watch the gorillas in their natural habitat.

Community walk

Community walk

Having spent the day tracking, you will need to have a morning rest as it will prepare you for an afternoon culture walk. On this walk you may have an experience with the people whose connection with the forest of Bwindi runs so deep. You may also immerse yourself in the beauty of mist in the forest.

After the gorilla experience you are now ready for what is next in the wild. This day takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park a home to various mammal species including the lions, leopards, hippos, buffaloes among others. The beauty of this park will take your breath away. With the diverse ecosystems that include the savannah, wetlands, forests and lakes, you surely have a lot to see.

This game drive will bring you closer to the different wildlife species in their natural habitat as you drive through the beautiful landscapes of Bwindi while you feel the cool breeze.
Summarize your day with the sounds of birds as you sail along the Kazinga channel. Watch hippos as they playfully enjoy the water as well as other water animals like the Nile crocodile.

Time for more primate tracking in the heart of primate world. Kibale has a high concentration of chimpanzees and this makes it the best place for tracking. This puts you in a position to have the highest chances of succeeding in your tracking. Arrive at the appointed time of tracking. You may choose morning or afternoon tracking and embark on your thrilling adventure. While in the forest, you may encounter other primates like monkeys. The look out is mainly on chimps and once found, you will spend an hour watching the chimps in their natural habitat.
