While leopards make occasional appearances, cheetahs are a rare sight in this area.
After an exhilarating day of exploration and wildlife viewing, you'll depart from the park in the late afternoon and head to Karatu, where you will unwind and spend the night.

After breakfast, you will head towards the Serengeti, passing over the Ngorongoro Crater valley and enjoying its stunning views. Along the way, various natural wonders will captivate you until you reach Serengeti National Park by midday. The Serengeti, Tanzania's oldest and largest park, is renowned for the annual migration of hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras in search of fresh grass and water. The park boasts diverse habitats, including short grass plains, savanna, thick bush, swamps, and lakes, and is dotted with unique rock formations called kopjes, where predators are often seen. You will spend the night at Into Wild Tented Camp inside the park.

This morning, you will embark on additional game drives in the Serengeti. Around noon, you'll begin your journey to the Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying a game drive along the way. Upon reaching the crater's edge, you will be treated to a breathtaking view of the vast caldera below. You will spend the night at Eileen's Trees Inn.

After breakfast, you'll drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game viewing experience. Renowned as one of the best places to spot the Big Five—lions, leopards, black rhinos, elephants, and buffaloes—the Ngorongoro Crater offers breathtaking scenery and unparalleled wildlife encounters. It's considered one of the world’s most astonishing natural wonders and holds the distinction of being the 8th Wonder of the World as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, particularly noted for its population of black rhinos.
In the afternoon, you'll ascend from the crater and head directly to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay, reflecting on the day's incredible wildlife encounters in this unique and awe-inspiring setting.
