Day 1

Your journey begins with a drive from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park. As you leave the city behind, the landscape transforms into vast open spaces with acacia trees dotting the horizon. Upon arriving at the park, you will enjoy lunch at the lodge, featuring a selection of Kenyan and international cuisines to cater to all palates (drinks in restaurants are an extra cost).

After lunch, you'll set out on your first game drive! Amboseli is renowned for its large elephant herds, which are often seen against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. This park also offers the chance to spot other wildlife such as zebras, wildebeests, and if you're lucky, the elusive cheetah. As the evening approaches, you'll experience the changing colors of the landscape with Mount Kilimanjaro silhouetted against the sunset.

You'll wake up to a serene sunrise and enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge, including fruits, cereals, pastries, and options for a cooked breakfast to fuel up for the day ahead.

Your morning game drive explores deeper into Amboseli's diverse ecosystems. You'll visit the swamps to watch elephants playfully bathing and cooling off. These wetlands also attract hippos and a variety of waterfowl. The woodlands are perfect for spotting giraffes and smaller creatures like the dik-dik or the vibrant kingfisher. After breakfast in Amboseli, you'll begin your journey to Lake Naivasha, making a mid-morning stop at Hell’s Gate National Park, known for its distinctive landscape shaped by volcanic activity. Following lunch, you'll enjoy a walk or bike ride through the park, where you will encounter wildlife like elands and zebras up close, free from the usual confines of a vehicle, against a backdrop of towering cliffs and deep gorges.

Once you've soaked in the vistas and captured photos at Hell’s Gate, you'll continue to Lake Naivasha.
