Your journey begins as your guide picks you up from your hotel in the morning. You'll embark on a scenic drive heading to Murchison Falls National Park, with a fascinating stopover at the Rhino Sanctuary along the way.

This sanctuary spans 70 square kilometers and is home to over 35 white rhinos, playing a crucial role in reintroducing these majestic animals to Uganda's wilderness. Here, you'll have the unique opportunity to observe rhinos in their natural habitat, while on foot for an up-close experience.

Early Morning Game Drive & Boat Safari

This day starts with an early morning game drive on the northern bank, departing at 6:30 am and returning around 11:00 am. Wildlife sightings may include baboons, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda kob, hartebeests, oribis, waterbucks, bushbucks, reedbucks, warthogs, side-striped jackals, as well as carnivores like lions, leopards, and spotted hyenas.

After lunch, embark on an afternoon boat cruise on the River Nile, offering views of hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species such as goliath herons, Egyptian geese, pelicans, bee-eaters, kingfishers, hornbills, cormorants, saddle-bill storks, and if lucky, the shoebill stork. Following the boat safari, enjoy a hike to the top of the magnificent Murchison Falls, where you'll meet for the return journey to the lodge.

While the duration of the drive may vary depending on road conditions, we anticipate arriving at Kibale Forest around 2:00 pm.

Upon reaching Kibale, you'll have the opportunity to stretch your legs and explore the surrounding area. For those eager to delve deeper into the local culture and natural beauty, an optional community walk is available. This leisurely stroll will take us through the captivating crater lakes region, where you'll be treated to panoramic views of the shimmering lakes nestled amidst the lush greenery.

After fueling up with a hearty breakfast, we'll make our way to the park headquarters, where our thrilling journey begins.
Upon arrival, we'll receive a short briefing from one of the knowledgeable park staff members, who will provide essential information about chimpanzee trekking and the guidelines we need to follow during our excursion.

With anticipation building, we'll be assigned an experienced guide who will lead us deep into the heart of the forest in search of our primate cousins.

Kibale Forest is renowned as one of the premier destinations for primate tracking in East Africa, offering unparalleled opportunities to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat.

We will make a stop in Masaka for a delightful lunch, allowing us to refuel and enjoy some local cuisine before continuing our journey.

Our next stop will be at the equator, where we will have the opportunity to capture memorable photos at this iconic landmark. You can also indulge in some souvenir shopping, browsing the stalls for unique mementos to take home with you.
After our visit to the equator, we will proceed to Entebbe International Airport, and this will mark the end of your 12-day Uganda Tour.
