On arrival at Windhoek Airport, you will be assisted with the collection of your rental vehicle. With the directions provided, make your way north to Okonjima Nature Reserve. Okonjima is a Herero word meaning "Place of the Baboons". The reserve is also home to the AfriCat Foundation, whose main focus is the conservation through education, research and rehabilitation of captive cheetahs. We've included an afternoon game drive, so be sure to reach the lodge by early afternoon. Dinner is served at the lodge later in the evening before you head off to your chalet.

Day 2

A morning AfriCat visit has been included for you. Once you've had breakfast and checked out, you continue driving north towards Mushara Camp, where you will spend the next three nights. Your stay includes dinners and breakfasts. Spend the next two days at your own pace, going on game drives into Etosha National Park or just spending time at the lodge. Your accommodation is a comfortable en-suite tent built from canvas, wood and local limestone with a private veranda.

Etosha National Park is unique in Africa. The park’s main characteristic is a salt pan so large it can be seen from space. Yet there is abundant wildlife that congregates around the waterholes, giving you the best chance at game sightings. Plan your route and pack a picnic basket to spend the day in the park.

The day is spent on morning and afternoon game-viewing drives in an open game drive vehicle with the lodge's local guide. You return to the lodge and the rest of the day is spent at leisure. Freshen up for dinner and relax for the rest of the evening.

Day 5-7

Travel to the southwestern border of the park for your stay. Your stay includes dinners and breakfasts. You have time to self-drive in the park and visit the surrounding areas. Chat with us beforehand to book additional activities or ask at reception on arrival to book a game drive to Etosha National Park. There is also a beautiful walking trail through the Mopane forest and wonderful stargazing opportunities at night. Please note that the park gate opens at sunrise and closes at sunset, ensuring that you exit the park before sunset.
