Day 1

Upon arrival, you will be met by Afro Dawn Safaris representative and transferred to your Lodge for check in. Once you are done with the check-in, our guide will do a short brief of the tour. At 1600hrs you will be picked up for the Zambezi River Sunset Cruise, this is the perfect way to rest from the flying fatigue and unwind. The rest of the evening will be spent at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Explore Victoria Falls

This morning, after breakfast, you shall be picked up for the guided tour of the Victoria Falls. You will visit one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World. On this tour, you will walk with a professional tour guide, who will share information on the falls as you walk side by side with this breathtaking wonder! You will visit all 16 vantage points and this tour takes about an hour and a half to two hours depending on your walking pace. The rest of the afternoon is set aside for other optional activities which you can discuss with your guide.

AT 7:00 p.m., you will be picked up for a Boma dinner, dance, and drum show entertainment.

Day 3

Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park

Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park

At 10am you will check out of your rooms and you will be transferred to Chobe National Park in Botswana. The drive to Botswana is 75 km from Victoria Falls. That will take about 1 hour of safe driving. You are required to have money to pay for their visas. On arrival at the border, you will be assisted with immigration formalities and drive to the lodge for check-in. The first activity will be the safari Game drive in the Chobe National Park at 14:30pm. The activity will take 3 hours. By sunset, you will make your way to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Chobe National park

You shall have an early morning game drive in the Chobe National Park. Tea and coffee are served before the game drive or during the game drive. After the game drive from around 9:30 am to 10:00 am, you will have your full breakfast at the lodge. On an early morning drive, it is the best time to see big cats like lions, leopards and cheetahs. Late in the afternoon, you will embark on a sunset cruise in the Chobe River cruising in the Chobe National Park. The trip usually starts at 3:00 pm and it is one of the best experiences to watch the game from the boat and you will get closer to the animals.

Day 5

Chobe National park to Elephant sands

You will drive to Elephant Sands Lodge which is approximately 260 km from Kasane. This lodge is located in the park which is home to elephants as the name suggests. On arrival, you will have lunch (own account) and rest by the pool. Enjoy viewing the gentle giants at a natural waterhole right in front of the lodge. Watch these impressive creatures whilst they drink only a couple of meters away from you, a unique experience!

Your dinner and overnight stay is at the lodge.

Arriving at Gweta Lodge, we have our lunch before we'll embark on our fully equipped and exclusive camp on the Ntwetwe Salt pan where you can settle down around a roaring campfire in time to watch the most spectacular African sunset! You are then served a 3-course meal around a candle-lit dining table while enjoying the solitude of the salt pan.

You can then head off for bed to lie down into the warm and cozy bedrolls whilst watching the night sky pass right above your heads. (Our overnights are a favorite with astronomers and anyone keen to see the Milky Way in all its glory)!

The next morning after breakfast, guests are taken to see our habituated meerkat colony as they emerge from their burrows to enjoy the warm morning sun. We can also include a ride on the salt pans with quad bikes for those who enjoy an adrenaline rush!

You will be transfer by road to the heart of the Okavango Delta, a unique wetland system of rivers, crystal clear channels, islands and lagoons that creates a safe haven for innumerable bird and wildlife species. The rest of the afternoon is spent at leisure. Another optional activity to partake in is the Okavango scenic flight.

Today you will do the Mokoro full-day adventure. The activity will allow an up-close opportunity to learn more about the culture and animals that live along the delta waters. You will do the tour on a dug-out canoe. The activity enhances the support of the community, as people in the surrounding areas provide this service. The transfer pickup time is at 7:00 am and the expected time of arrival is after the tour is 3:00 p.m.
