Breakfast will be served on the way to Mikumi national park then you'll be collected from the hotel or airport with packed lunch and drive to Mikumi National Park for evening game drive. The park itself is nestled between Uluguru Mountain to the northeast, Udzungwa Mountains and the Rift Valley escarpment to the south west as part of Selous ecosystem, it benefits from the highest game density of the entire conservation area.
This park lies west of Dar es Salaam City and 107km from the nearest town named Morogoro on the highway from Dar es Salaam to Zambia, covering an area of 3230km sq. Lunch will be served enroute to the Park.

Mikumi National park Full Game Drive
After breakfast, with packed lunches, you will drive to the park for the game drive activities. You will enjoy a game drive inside Mikumi National Park drive. You can expect to see a herd of buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, impalas, antelopes, elephants, and many more. Your dinner and an overnight stay will be at Camp Bastian.

Mikumi NP to Nyerere NP
After breakfast, drive to Nyerere National Park, Nyerere National Park is the largest park in Africa - 4 times the size of the Serengeti. It possesses a diverse landscape from hot volcanic springs, sporadic lakes, channels from the Great Ruaha and Rufiji rivers.
Nyerere National Park is Africa’s greatest conservation area and covers a wide variety of wildlife habitats including Lakes, open grassland, Acacia, Miombo woodland and riverine forests. The topography of the park varies from rolling savannah woodland, grassland plains and rocky outcrops cut by the Rufiji River and its tributaries. The Kilombero and Luwegu which together cover the greatest catchment area in East Africa, which flows from north to south providing a life-blood of the Selous game reserve.

Nyerere National Park Full Game Drive
Breakfast is served at the Camp, another full day of game drives in the park. Nyerere National Park as the largest protected wildlife area in Africa, due to its unique ecological importance this pristine uninhabited area was declared as “World Heritage Site” by United Nations in 1981. Nyerere National Park is bigger than Switzerland or Denmark covering an area of about 54’600sq km.
The park boasts Tanzania’s largest and most important populations of Elephant, Buffalo and Wild dog in Africa. Almost 60’000 of Tanzania’s Elephant are found there as well as large numbers of Hippo; other species commonly seen are Lions, Bushbuck, Impala, Giraffe, Eland, Baboon, Zebra, Greater Kudu, etc. Waterbuck, Reedbuck gathers at the water edge of Lake Tagalala linked to the Rufiji River. Nyerere park is also a prime destination for Bird-watchers; more than 420 endemic species have been recorded, evening drive back to the camp for overnight.

Walking Tour Then Drive to Dar es Salaam
You will have an early morning breakfast at the camp and start a sunrise bush walking safari. Walking safaris are a fantastic way to get close to nature and learn more about the smaller species and the bush itself.
It’s an unforgettable experience to walk within such a vast and untamed area of natural reserve. The walks take about 2-3 hours long. Usually walks leave camp at 6:00 am-6:30 am, after having a cup of tea and some homemade biscuits or doughnuts. You will then drive back to Dar es Salaam with a drop off at the hotel or airport.
