Early in the morning, you will take a boat ride from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam, enjoying the scenic views of the Indian Ocean. Upon arrival, you will be met by your driver and embark on a journey to Mikumi National Park, a drive that takes approximately 5 to 6 hours. Along the way, you will pass through local villages and beautiful landscapes, providing a glimpse into Tanzania’s rural life. Upon arrival at Mikumi, you will check in at your lodge or tented camp before heading out for an afternoon game drive. You will explore the vast plains and diverse ecosystems, with chances to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and lions. As the sun sets, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the wilderness.

Rise early for a sunrise game drive, one of the best times to spot wildlife as predators are more active, and the landscape is bathed in golden light. After breakfast at the lodge, you will continue exploring Mikumi, visiting the Mkata Floodplain, which is home to large herds of buffalo, impalas, and elands. You will also visit the hippo pools, where you can observe hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the beauty of the surroundings. In the late afternoon, you will begin your drive back to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the evening. You will check in at a hotel for an overnight stay in Dar es Salaam.

You can also embark on a dolphin-watching tour in Kizimkazi or take a sunset cruise along the coast. Evenings will be spent enjoying fresh seafood, watching breathtaking sunsets, and soaking in the tranquil island atmosphere.
