Northern Serengeti Koga Tende Area

After an early breakfast, you will head out to make the most of the day. There is a chance you may see the animals crossing the Mara River. Hundreds of thousands of desperate wildebeest gather together on the banks of the river, gazing wistfully across the turbulent water at the green grass on the other side but no animal will make a move. All it takes is one brave wildebeest to take the literal plunge and, then, they all follow! The animals that successfully avoid the awaiting crocodile jaws and make it over the river are rewarded with the lush green grazing grass of the Masai Mara.

Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will have a full-day game drive in Central Serengeti. This will be an unforgettable moment for anyone seeing it for the first time. As you progress well into the Serengeti, you will see why the name means, in the local language, "endless plains". The park has 6,900 sq. miles (18,000 sq. km) and for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon defying your senses and perception of distances.
It is the home of the great migration and to more than 2 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and all kinds of antelopes including the abundant impalas and Thomson's gazelles. As for big cats and large predators, it's the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Smaller animals like foxes, mongoose, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, rock hyrax, and African hares, together with more than 500 species of birds, also inhabit this park.
