Formed from the catastrophic explosion and subsequent collapse of a massive volcano some two to three million years ago, the crater spans an area of 260 km². Renowned for its geological wonders and as a sanctuary for an array of wildlife, it boasts one of the densest populations of large mammals on the African continent.

Descending into the crater, you'll swiftly find yourself amid numerous wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

The entirety of today is dedicated to exhilarating game drives across the Serengeti. Renowned for its rich biodiversity, the Serengeti teems with a plethora of wildlife, including impalas, buffalos, crocodiles, and hippos. However, it is most famed for the grand migratory herds of zebras, antelopes, and wildebeests.

The migration patterns are dictated by rainfall and vary annually. In November and December, the herds migrate from the northern woodlands and hills to the southern grassy plains, while they return to the north during the lengthier rainy season from April to June. In addition to witnessing the majestic migration, there's a chance to encounter the resident predators such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions, each playing a vital role in the intricate circle of life.

After an awe-inspiring day amidst nature's spectacle, we'll retreat to your accommodation for an evening of relaxation, dinner, and a well-deserved rest beneath the vast expanse of the Serengeti's starlit sky.
