Day 2
Lake Manyara National Park

After an early breakfast at Kankari Lodge, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, which is just a short drive away. Lake Manyara is famous for its diverse ecosystems and the stunning backdrop of the Rift Valley escarpment. Upon arrival, start your game drive, looking out for tree-climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos, and a variety of other bird species. The park is also home to elephants, hippos, giraffes, and buffalos. Around midday, pause for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot, such as the lakeshore, where you can enjoy views of the lake and its wildlife. Continue your game drive in the afternoon, exploring the park's groundwater forests, open grasslands, and acacia woodlands. In the late afternoon, return to Kankari Lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater

Begin your day with an early breakfast at Kankari Lodge before checking out and departing for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a 1.5-hour drive away. Upon arrival, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most unique and wildlife-rich areas in the world. Spend the morning on a game drive across the crater floor, home to a high concentration of animals, including the Big Five: elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and rhinos. Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot like the Hippo Pool, where you can observe hippos and other wildlife. After lunch, continue exploring the diverse habitats of the crater, soaking in the stunning scenery and spotting more wildlife. In the late afternoon, ascend from the crater and begin the drive back to Arusha. Arrive in the early evening, concluding your 3-day safari adventure with drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
