Day 1

A day trip from Arusha to Tarangire National Park is a perfect way to experience Tanzania's diverse wildlife in a short time. Departing in the morning around 8:00 AM, the journey takes approximately 2-3 hours, covering 120 kilometers of scenic landscapes and local villages. Upon arrival, you enter the park, renowned for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The morning game drive offers sightings of elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and various antelope species, alongside over 550 bird species. Around midday, enjoy a packed picnic lunch at a designated site near the Tarangire River, which attracts numerous animals. The afternoon game drive continues through different areas of the park, providing excellent photography opportunities in the ideal afternoon light. By late afternoon, you drive towards Karatu town, arriving by early evening, around 6:00 PM.
