Our driver/guide will be waiting at Entebbe International Airport to pick you up and then transfer you to your accommodation for the night. He will give you a briefing about your holiday and advise about the next day’s program. You will then have dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 2
Fly to Kidepo Valley National Park

You will spend your morning at leisure enjoying accommodation. Later, your guide will pick you up and transfer you to Entebbe airport in time for your flight to Kidepo Valley National Park.
On arrival at Kidepo airstrip, your guide will transfer you to the Lodge, check in and have your lunch.
Kidepo Valley National Park is a treasure trove that provides the real “African wilderness experience”. Its stunning mountainous terrain is broken by the Narus Valley in the southwest as well as the Kidepo Valley in the northeast.
In the afternoon, head out for a Game drive in search of big game. The Park is known to host a very high buffalo population. You will be rewarded with other big game and cats including the elephants, Rothschild’s giraffes, rock climbing Lions and cheetahs.

Day 3

Today, you will have more game drives.
Kidepo is home to about 80 mammal species, several of which are endemic to the park and these among others include cheetahs, the white-eared Kobs, Chandlers Mountain reedbucks, caracals, Klipspringers, Bright gazelles, Roan antelopes, lesser and greater kudu, Beisa Oryx.
For the bird lovers, approximately 476 bird species live here! These include among others, ostriches, helmeted guinea fowls, Secretary Birds, African Swallow-tailed Kites, and Eastern Pale Chanting Goshawk.
You will have an evening sundowner as you watch the sun disappear in the rocky, rugged highlands of the border area.

Day 4

After your breakfast, you will head for an early morning game drive in the Narus valley. This is the park’s prime game viewing location especially with its dense populations of Lion, Buffalos, Elephant and many similar angulates.
You will have a picnic breakfast as you enjoy herds of elephants and sometimes the walking Ostriches passing by. Expect more sights of Cape buffaloes, waterbucks, bushbucks, Uganda Kobs, Jackson’s hartebeest, Topis, warthogs, and sometimes lions, leopards as well as cheetahs.
In the afternoon, you will visit the local community known for its pastoralist lifestyle (cattle keeping) and their interestingly maintained traditional dress of a “blanket-like shawl” with bright colours. You will enjoy their dance, and possibly participate.

Day 5
Drive to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, head out to Murchison Falls National Park. This drive will take approximately 7 hours including relevant stops at interesting places. You will have a Ugandan Coffee break in Gulu, before proceeding to Murchison.
You will enter the park early afternoon arriving at the lodge in time for lunch.
Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s oldest and largest National Park with a wide range of game drive circuits that spreads out in its savannah grasslands, Borassus palms, acacia trees, and riverine woodland that dominate the Northern section. There are over 80 species of mammals that include lions, Hippos, African bush elephants, Topis, leopards, Defassa waterbucks, Rothschild giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeests, and many others.

Day 6

Early morning, your guide will take you for a wildlife safari game drive on the northern bank of the river Nile. Here, you will spot Elephants, Lions, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena, and if you are lucky, the leopard.
You will return to your lodge for breakfast, rest and lunch before heading out for the afternoon boat cruise. The boat cruise takes you upstream on the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just a few meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”.
While on the boat cruise, you will have a chance to marvel at the hippos floating in the water, and crocodiles as well as elephants, waterbuck, Uganda kob and many others over this 19 km stretch of the Nile.
For bird-watching enthusiasts there are many chances of seeing bird species like the Goliath heron, kingfishers, Fish eagles, and the rare shoebill stork.
After the boat cruise, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7
Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

After early morning breakfast, before you head out of Murchison Falls National Park, your guide will take you to the top of the falls and enjoy the beauty that Uganda has to offer.
You will later be driven to Kibale National Park via Hoima and Fort Portal. This drive will take a total of around 5 hours with interesting landscapes, green countryside, traditional homesteads, tea plantations, and much more.
You will have lunch in Fort Portal and then continue to your accommodation where you will relax and await the next day’s activities.

Day 8

After early morning breakfast, your driver/guide will drive you to Kibale National Park office where you will be briefed about the activity of tracking chimpanzees in the wild.
You will then go on a guided primate walk in search of chimpanzees and 12 other primates including l’ Hoestes, Red colobus, blue, red-tailed monkeys, brown monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabey.
The park rangers will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates but on all the forest fauna and flora, and will ensure that your walk is informative and enjoyable.
After finding the chimps, you will spend 1 hour with them before heading back to the park offices.
You will go back to the lodge for lunch & refreshments.
After lunch, you will visit the community and take a walk in Bigodi Swamp – which is the home of the great blue Turaco bird. The swamp is home to around 200 bird species and 8 primate species. Later, return to your accommodation for dinner & overnight stay.

Day 9
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will start the day with a cultural tour of the Amabere ga nyina mwiru caves a great historic site located 10km from Fort Portal town. You will be accompanied by an informed guide who knows more about this place. Remember to carry along a flashlight, hiking boots, long trousers since you are going to enter the caves. Thereafter, you will hike the explosion crater lakes surrounding this area and then return to Fort Portal town for lunch and a visit to the Tooro Kingdom Palace. In the evening, drive to Uganda’s second-largest park, Queen Elizabeth National Park while enjoying the changing views of the mystical Rwenzori Mountain ranges.

Day 10

After breakfast, you will go for an early morning wildlife safari game drive in this park. Queen Elizabeth National Park’s diverse ecosystem of grassy plains, tropical forests, rivers, swamps, lakes, and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife.
With the massive Rwenzori Mountains as a backdrop, you will have excellent opportunities to see lions, leopards, giant forest hogs, cape buffalos, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kobs, Topi, and bushbuck
After lunch, you will go for a 2–3-hour boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward. This boat will take you through possibly the highest concentration of hippos. Many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge.
This launch cruise offers great opportunities for photography, bird watching, and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with more than 600 different species.

Day 11

After an early morning breakfast, you will leave Queen Elizabeth for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This is a 6 hours journey passing through the Kigezi Highlands an area known as the “Switzerland of Africa”. The journey takes you through terraced hills and winding roads to the Bwindi Forest. You will have a stop-over along the way for lunch.

Day 12

Today is the big day! Prepare yourself for an encounter with the gentle giants; the rare mountain gorillas.
For most people, this is the absolute highlight of their tour. You will go into the forest in groups of not more than 8 in search of mountain gorillas. En route, your guide will point out previous signs of gorilla activity such as dung, nests, and chewed bamboo shoots.
Your trek will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, entwined vines, bushes, and bamboo. Upon finding the gorillas, you will spend a maximum of 1 hour with them after which you will be led back to the starting point.
In the evening, you will go for a community visit and cultural experience of the local people that live close to Bwindi. You will learn about their lives, history, and traditions.

Day 13
Fly to Entebbe
Fly to Entebbe
You will have a relaxed morning as you pack your bags to head back to Entebbe. After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Kisoro airstrip in time for your midday flight to Entebbe Airport.
The drive from Rushaga to Kisoro airstrip takes about 1.5 hours. The approximate flight duration is one hour and forty-five minutes. It can be shorter than that, but the actual duration depends on the routing of the day.
You will arrive at Entebbe airport in time for your evening flight back home.
This will mark the end of your holiday with us.
