Gorilla Trekking experience in Rwanda

After a breakfast at your lodge, you'll make your way to to Volcanoes national park with Packed lunch to embark on a journey into the lush forests that are home to these magnificent creatures.
Guided by the park's experienced rangers, you'll trek through dense vegetation, climbing to altitudes of around 200meters on the slopes of the volcanoes. As you enter the forest, a hush falls over your group, each step bringing you closer to these gentle giants.
Upon locating your assigned gorilla group, a rush of excitement fills the air as you observe these majestic animals in their element. Spending an hour in their presence, you'll be captivated by their grace and power, capturing memories through your camera lens that will last a lifetime The connection forged with these incredible creatures leaves an indelible mark on your soul
Returning to your lodge, you'll share stories and photos with fellow travelers, reliving the day's highlights over a sumptuous dinner.

Drive to Nyungwe National Park

Wakening to a new day of adventure, you will set out on a scenic drive towards Nyungwe Forest, passing through rolling hills and vibrant countryside along the way. The landscape unfolds like a painting before your eyes, each turn revealing a new vista that captures the essence of Rwanda's natural beauty. E route, a stop at the famous King's Palace in Nyanza offers a glimpse into the country's rich history and cultural heritage. The ancient traditions and artifacts on display provide a window into pre-colonial Rwanda, adding depth to your understanding of this diverse and vibrant nation.
Arriving at Nyungwe Forest, you'll check into your accommodation. Nestled amidst the verdant surroundings, you'll have time to relax and recharge before embarking on an exciting chimpanzee tracking adventure the next day.

Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe

Early start tracking for the chimpanzees, this can take anything from a few hours to a full day depending on where the chimpanzees are. It should be mentioned that it is not guaranteed to see the chimps as they are unpredictable and can move long distances in one day. There are several other primates in Nyungwe such as the Rwenzori colobus, L’Hoest’s monkey, Silver monkey, Owl faced monkey and the Grey cheeked Mangabey. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
