Mto wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast at your lodge, set out for an enthralling game drive through the Serengeti's diverse landscapes.

Accompanied by experienced guides, venture into the heart of the wilderness, where every step unveils a new discovery.

Serengeti has endless plains accumulated with savannah grasslands which provide a wide feeding area throughout the year for wildebeests, many antelope species, and zebras. This makes it the potential area for carnivores such as cheetahs, lions, hyenas, and other wild cats to hunt these herbivores.

Also in Seronera Valley, there are dotted acacia trees that appear in a group-like structure known as kopjes, which provide a vantage point for predators to spot the prey and also provide a home for reptiles such as lizards and pythons.

Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Nyani Campsite.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

This day continues with the game drive at Central Serengeti but is more likely to be based in the southern part, which will make you be able to spot more hunting actions and even exit without a delay heading to Simba Campsite.

Activities such as a sunrise game drive will enable you to spot the Big Five animals and many other animals including the hunting actions since at sunrise animals are very active in searching for their daily meals. On this day, you may also book a hot air balloon safari at $550 per person.

You will continue with the game drive until late in the afternoon. You'll exit the park to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, which is the place where you will spend the night, at the rim of the crater.

The park has volcanic soil that supports many habitats making it very potential for Big Five spotting in a single day visit. Inside the park, there's Lake Makat, which provides a home for many birds. Apart from that, the park is well known for the existence of many Maasai families living in their circular-oriented Bomas.

Furthermore, it's best for anyone wishing to explore the history of human evolution pioneered by Leakey's family. You can expect to spot lions, buffaloes, wildebeests, many birds, zebras, hippos, gazelles, jackals, foxes, wild dogs, elands, waterbucks, servals and ungulates. Absentees are giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, and elephants, which are rarely seen at the crater rim.
