Pick up from your hotel in Kigali and start your adventure with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda and its evolution to one of the fastest growing economies on the African continent. Depart from Kigali for a scenic road trip to Volcanoes national park in the Virunga Mountains. The journey takes about 4 hours, offering picturesque views of the Virunga massive mountains. Check into your lodge for a delicious dinner and rest for an exciting day of gorilla tracking the next day.

After an early breakfast, we drive to the visitor center to attend gorilla tracking briefing session conducted by park rangers about the guidelines to follow for this adventure. Once you have been allocated a gorilla family, you will be accompanied by experienced trackers to this serene tropical rainforest. Once gorillas have been located, you will spend a magical hour observing them up close. Learn about their behavior, social structure, and conservation efforts to protect them.

Enjoy a packed lunch amidst the forest, savoring the unique experience of dining in the gorilla's natural habitat. Late transfer to the boarder of Rwanda Uganda where you will continue to drive to Rushaga southern Bwindi for your second gorilla adventure. Reflect on your gorilla tracking experience over a sumptuous dinner at your lodge, sharing stories and memories with fellow travelers or guides.

Optional golden monkey tracking and transfer to Kigali

On your final day, embark on a golden monkey tracking adventure (optional) in Volcanoes National Park. This activity offers another unique encounter with the playful golden monkeys for 1 hour as you trek through the bamboo forest. After golden monkey tracking, return to your lodge for check-out. Bid farewell to Volcanoes National Park and embark on your journey back to Kigali city where we will drop you off at the airport.
