Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), our staff will greet you and transfer you to your hotel, ensuring a smooth check-in process. In the evening, you will meet our expedition leader for a detailed tour briefing and to address any questions you may have. This will ensure you are fully prepared for the exciting adventure ahead. Arusha to Same Town
We will depart for Same town, making stops at Maasai steppes and South Pare, and spend the night in Same town. At Maasai steppes, we will look for White-backed Duck, Blue-billed Teal, Vulturine Guineafowl, Long-toed Lapwing, Eastern Chanting Goshawk, White-headed Mousebird, Black-throated Barbet, Pygmy Batis, Pringle's Puffback, Acacia Tit, Pink-breasted Lark, Scaly Chatterer, Wattled Starling, and many more. Before the day ends, we will stop at South Pare Mountains to track the endemic South Pare White-eye and also look for other target species such as Paarensis race of bar-throated apalis, East Coast Flycatcher, East Coast Boubou, Tanzania Illadopsis, Purple-banded Sunbird, and Usambara Double-collared Sunbird.

Same Town to West Usambara
In the early morning, we will birdwatch locally around the Same area before returning to the hotel for breakfast. Afterward, we will drive to Magamba Forest in West Usambara for our next adventure, where we will spend the rest of the day exploring and observing the diverse bird species in the area.

Magamba Forest - West Usambara

After an early morning birdwatching session, we will return to the resthouse for a hearty breakfast. Following this, we will drive to the East Usambara Mountains, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. In the evening, we will embark on an exciting birdwatching adventure in Amani Forest, exploring its rich biodiversity and observing a variety of unique bird species. This day promises to be filled with memorable birdwatching experiences and the natural beauty of the East Usambara Mountains.

Amani Forest - East Usambara

In the morning, we will continue our excursion to observe any species we may have missed. Afterward, we will drive to Same town for an evening arrival and an overnight stay. This will provide us with a chance to relax and prepare for the next leg of our adventure.

Departure
On the last day of our tour, we will travel to Nyumba ya Mungu dam to see the broad range of bird species that can be seen there. The surrounding habitat is dry Commiphora-Acacia woodland that gently dips towards the lake, allowing us to observe shoreline and woodland species. African fish eagles, Plovers, pink-backed pelicans, Kingfishers, African jacanas, and many more are among the famous species. We'll eat lunch and bid farewell before heading back to the airport or hotel for your next journey.
