Queen Elizabeth game drive and Kazinga channel boat safari

Wake up to the sounds of the wild and embark on an early morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains. This is prime wildlife territory, home to lions, elephants, buffalo, antelope, and more. Your guide will help you spot and photograph the park’s diverse species. After lunch at the lodge, set out for an afternoon boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, renowned for its large populations of hippos, crocodiles, and aquatic birds. This two-hour cruise offers incredible close-up wildlife encounters and stunning scenery. Return to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening under the starry sky.

Chimp Trekking at Kyambura Gorge & Transfer to Ishasha

Begin your day with an early breakfast and head to Kyambura Gorge, often referred to as the “Valley of Apes,” for an exciting chimpanzee trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced guides, descend into the lush forested gorge and search for a habituated group of chimpanzees. The trek typically lasts 2-3 hours and offers not only the chance to observe chimps in their natural habitat but also a deeper appreciation of the gorge’s incredible biodiversity, including various birds, monkeys, and other wildlife.

After the trek, return to your lodge for a quick refresh and lunch. Then, embark on a scenic drive to the Ishasha sector, renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of these unique predators resting in fig and acacia trees. Keep an eye out for other wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, and topi. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge in Ishasha.
