Pick up from your hotel in Kigali, have a short briefing about your safari and we star our tour with a visit to the local markets and genocide memorial tour before embarking on a scenic road to Bwindi. Lunch en route or at the lodge depending on the time you have departed from Kigali and overnight at the edge of the forest.

Ultimate gorilla tracking in the mist and Community tour
After your early breakfast (7:00am), you will have short drive to the UWA briefing center where you will be taken through the dos and don’ts while tracking gorillas. After you have been allocated a gorilla family in a group of 8 Pax, you will be led by the armed ranger guides off the forest to search for the gorillas. When gorillas have been located, you will have one full hour viewing them as they go on with their daily lives at a distance of 7-10 meters. After gorilla tracking, we drive back to lodge, change and get ready for community walk. Dinner and overnight.

Discover Ishasha Sector (Queen Elizabeth national park)
After breakfast, drive from Bwindi to Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park. The Ishasha sector boasts stunning landscapes characterized by savannah woodland dotted with cactus trees, fig trees, and acacias. The picturesque surroundings enhance the overall safari experience, providing a beautiful backdrop for observing wildlife in their natural environment. This day is dedicated to discovering the vast plains of Ishasha. Look out for elephant herds, Topi herds, buffaloes, Kobs, lions, leopards, hyenas among others. Dinner and overnight in Ishasha sector.

Morning game drive in Ishasha & Evening Kazinga community boat cruise
After breakfast, you will have a final game drive as you depart to northern part of the park. Check in at your lodge, have a hot lunch and prepare for the afternoon community boat to on Kazinga channel.
In the afternoon, you will take on a boat cruise on Kazinga channel to discover more about this park. Kazinga channel is famous for the population of hippos and is said to have the highest population of hippos on the African continent. Other wildlife can be sighted here including the African elephant, the Cape buffalo, waterbucks, lots of birds, and reptiles like the Nile crocodile among others. Dinner and overnight at the edge of the park.

Chimpanzee tracking and Evening game drive
After your early breakfast, you will drive for 30 minutes to reach your chimpanzee tracking point for an exceptional encounter with man’s closest living relative with whom we share about 99% DNA. You will be led by the site guides who understands the forest very well as you search for these great apes. After they have been sighted, you will be allowed to view them for one hour as they go on with their daily lives. We recommend you carry some drinking water, quick snacks and off course this being a tropical rain forest, you must carry your rain gear. After the encounter with chimpanzees, we drive back to the lodge where you can choose to either do an evening game drive or relax at the lodge and enjoy the amenities of the lodge or opt to have a sundowner at the Twinlakes of Kyambura and watch the African Sunset. Later return to the lodge and have dinner and overnight.

Optional lion tracking and transfer back to Entebbe
After breakfast, we depart from Queen Elizabeth national park to Entebbe for your evening flight. Please note that the transfer is about 7 hours and we have an optional activity of lion tracking before transferring back to Entebbe. We can book a day room use at an extra cost.
