Clients are picked up from their accommodation around 5:00am to 5:30am to maximize wildlife viewing.
Early mornings are the best time to see many animals, as they are most active during the cooler hours. You will have the chance to spot the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino, along with other wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and various bird species. There will be a break at one of the park's rest camps for breakfast, stretching your legs, and shopping for souvenirs. There will also be stops at waterholes and river viewpoints to observe animals gathering to drink.
As the day cools, animals become more active again, providing further opportunities for sightings. This is an excellent bird-watching time, with over 500 species recorded in the park. A special stop will be made to enjoy the sunset over the African bush. The drive concludes with a return to the starting point, usually between 5:30pm and 6:00pm, offering chances to spot nocturnal animals.
