Clients are typically picked up from their accommodation early in the morning (around 5:00-5:30 AM) to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities.
Early morning is the best time to see many animals, as they are most active during the cooler hours. You will have the chance to spot the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) along with other wildlife like giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and various bird species. A break at one of the park’s rest camps for breakfast and to stretch legs, and perhaps visit a shop for souvenirs. Stops at waterholes and river viewpoints to see animals gathering to drink.
As the day cools, animals become more active again, providing further opportunities for sightings. Excellent time for bird watching, with over 500 species recorded in the park. A special stop to enjoy the sunset over the African bush. The drive concludes with a return to the starting point, usually around dusk (5:30-6:00 PM), with chances to spot nocturnal animals.
