On Day 1, fly from Johannesburg to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. After collecting your rental vehicle, head for the Panorama Route, specifically Sabie and Chestnut Country Lodge in Hazyview. Dinner and breakfast are included.

During your stay, take time to explore the scenic Panorama Route. Its popularity stems from its proximity to Kruger National Park, often included in trips to the game reserve. The route offers access to major attractions like the Blyde River Canyon, one of the largest greenest canyons globally, and features picturesque spots such as Sabie Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Mac Mac Falls and Pools, God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, the Pinnacle, and Three Rondavels.

Umkumbe Bush Lodge is ideally situated in the heart of the Sabi Sand Reserve within Greater Kruger. This premier reserve was the first land claimed when Kruger Park was established, boasting high concentrations of wildlife, especially leopards. Animals roam freely between Kruger National Park and the private reserves of Greater Kruger.

Twice-daily game drives offer thrilling adventures, while dinners are enjoyed in the traditional boma under starry skies.

Instead of a game drive, guests can also opt for bush walks, birding, or nature walks upon request at the lodge.

Kruger National Park at Lower Sabie Rest Camp

Lower Sabie Rest Camp in Kruger National Park is your next destination. The Central and South regions teem with wildlife sightings! The drive there will be a leisurely self-drive through this pristine area.

Lower Sabie rests on the banks of the Sabie River, one of the park's few perennial rivers. Visitors are captivated by views of the river and the Lebombo Mountains beyond. This popular camp may fill up quickly, but alternative rest camps are available. Your accommodation is equipped for self-catering.

After check-in, enjoy leisurely walks within the camp's safety and savor dinner at the restaurant or a South African "braai".

Kruger National Park at Berg-en-Dal Rest Camp

On day 6, after breakfast, check out and depart for Berg-en-Dal Rest Camp in the South of Kruger National Park. Your drive from Lower Sabie to Berg-en-Dal counts as a game drive, so keep your eyes peeled for wildlife! The southern Kruger hosts one of the scarce Big Five - the protected rhinoceros.

Berg-en-Dal is situated on the bank of the normally dry Matjulu Spruit, offering views of softly undulating hills to the east. Dry riverbeds and a dam border the camp on its northern and southern sides, with large trees lining the streams. The camp preserves natural vegetation and is set in a rugged mountain environment. Consider driving via other rest camps for breakfast or lunch at their restaurants for potential predator sightings.

This evening, enjoy a guided sunset game drive. Dinner can be enjoyed at the restaurant or prepared on your own.
