Safari at Tafika Camp
You'll spend 4 nights at Tafika Camp, situated near the beautiful Nsefu sector of South Luangwa. Tafika offers a range of safari activities, including game drives, walking safaris, cycling safaris (guided 1.5-hour mountain bike safari rides), night drives, and even microlight flights (extra cost).
A typical day at Tafika starts with an early morning breakfast on the banks of the Luangwa River around the campfire, before embarking on your morning game drive or walking safari with a stop for morning tea. You'll return to camp for a buffet lunch.
After high tea, you'll embark on the afternoon game drive, with a stop for sundowner drinks and snacks. After dark, you'll continue with a spotlight to see nocturnal animals in action. Alternatively, you can go on a guided mountain bike safari and then join the evening game drive. Another option is a cultural visit to a local village before joining the evening game drive. Safari at Mwaleshi Camp
You'll transfer by road to Mwabya/Lukuzi Airstrip to board a charter aircraft for your flight to Mwaleshi Camp, set on a scenic bend of the Mwaleshi River in the wildlife paradise of North Luangwa National Park.
Mwaleshi Camp is known as a special and remarkable place, set in a pristine wilderness area where there are very few roads. Most of the wildlife-viewing activities will be done on foot to experience this remote area in all its glory. There are only four thatched chalets at Mwaleshi, each built entirely from natural materials with an open-air, en-suite bathroom. Each unit overlooks the river. Camp life is comfortable yet refreshingly simple.
There are vast herds of buffalos and many lions in the area. You'll enjoy early morning bush walks with a qualified guide. These walks are tailored to the group's abilities. Time and conditions permitting, we may also be able to do a day trip to the scenic Mwaleshi Falls.
You'll enjoy an African safari at Mwaleshi, far from the crowds.
