This amazing best-of-Kenya budget camping safari tour starts from Nairobi with a pick-up from Nairobi JKIA Airport or your hotel in Nairobi. We'll drive to Amboseli National Park. The morning drive will take us via the Nairobi-Mombasa highway. The scenic drive is via open African grassland with expansive savannah plains dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai people and their cattle.

You'll arrive at Amboseli National Park in time for a welcome shower, refreshments, and lunch. Then, a game-viewing drive will be scheduled when the animals are most active. Weather permitting, the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro will be visible during the evening game-viewing drive.

Day 2

This will be a full day of game-viewing drives. There will be plenty of time to soak up the wildlife and the magnificent scenery. We have allowed time for relaxation as well. There will be an extensive drive viewing nature, covering most of the park. We will return for a delicious lunch. We’ll proceed with an optional cultural visit in the evening.

Between the wildlife viewing sessions, relax at your Amboseli AA Lodge and enjoy the lodge facilities, such as soaking yourself in the swimming pool, resting on the sundeck, grabbing a souvenir from the gift shop, or simply enjoying your glass of African brew (Tusker) from the spacious interior bar with terrace.

Day 3

Amboseli - Lake Naivasha

Wake up with a clear view of Mount Kilimanjaro to capture the warm sunrise over the roof of Africa as you drive away from Amboseli National Park after breakfast. Proceed to Lake Naivasha on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch, followed by an optional boat safari at Lake Naivasha, where you will view exotic birdlife and hippos amid the serenity of this freshwater Rift Valley lake. The boat ride takes you to Crescent Island (additional USD $30), where you will enjoy a guided walking safari, mingling freely with the animals. You will have dinner and overnight back at the lodge.

Day 4

After breakfast at the lodge, you will proceed to discover Lake Naivasha’s hidden treasure in Hell's Gate National Park. We will hire bikes and cycle to Hell’s Gate National Park. Otherwise, you can explore the park on foot with a nature hike in this canyon as you spot small game. Depart for Lake Nakuru and spend your evening at leisure. Birdlife abounds, with flamingoes seen in their thousands, as well as pelicans and other bird species. Lake Nakuru National Park is home to the black and white rhino species, warthogs, lions, zebras, giraffes, and many more.

After breakfast, have an early, extensive morning game-viewing drive at Lake Nakuru National Park. Later, proceed to the Masai Mara National Reserve with an en-route lunch and arrive in the evening. Check in and spend the rest of the evening relaxing at the lodge.

Masai Mara is one of Africa’s greatest wildlife reserves, brimming with abundant wildlife and birdlife. Game viewing is spectacular year-round. Witness a pride of lions stalking their prey, observe a herd of elephants and their fascinating social structure, or see pods of hippos wallowing in the rivers. The great wildebeest migration is one of nature’s wonders; an estimated 2 million animals migrate in a year-round pattern through Tanzania and Kenya following the rains.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Today will be a game-viewing extravaganza! Masai Mara National Reserve remains the most exciting wildlife ecosystem in the natural world. It hosts the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals compared to any other wildlife park in the region. The scenic appeal of the tree-studded savannah plains, the moderate climate, and the diversity of wild game species make it a one-stop shop for game-viewing activities.

Traverse the Masai Mara Reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing, encountering the Big Five and more of the lesser game. A picnic lunch is served at the Mara River. We will then experience a walking safari with an armed ranger along the river, watching hippos and other wildlife species. We will visit the Mara River, where we may watch hippos and crocodiles or maybe the great migration (July – October).

We return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
