Day 2

Enjoy a full day at this famous reserve searching for a wild game with an option to enjoy a balloon safari which normally happens in the morning. You can bring a picnic lunch or have lunch at the camp. A visit to Masai villages is also an option. Return to your lodge in the evening. The Mara is the land of African legend. Lions are abundant throughout the park, as are elephants, giraffes, and various gazelle species and zebra. Cheetahs and leopards are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhinos. Along with wildlife, the Masai Mara is also home to many members of the colorful Masai tribe who may be seen around the park's borders.

Today, witness one of nature's greatest spectacles as you encounter the awe-inspiring Great Migration. Set out early to catch the dramatic river crossings, where millions of wildebeest and zebras brave the crocodile-infested waters in their quest for greener pastures. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to September where the big animals and their predators are to be present in abundance during the time frame of this trip. Several species of bee-eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of Mara's birds, occur in the reserve. After an exhilarating day of wildlife viewing, unwind with sundowners (at extra pay) in the heart of the bush, toasting the beauty of the African sunset. Enjoy a gourmet dinner under the stars as night falls, and recount the day's adventures around a crackling campfire.

As your time in the Masai Mara comes to an end, you’ll make your way back to Nairobi, but the adventure continues. Your next stop is Nairobi National Park, a remarkable wildlife haven just outside the city. Enjoy a final game drive, where you’ll witness giraffes and other animals grazing with the iconic Nairobi skyline in the background. After a morning immersed in nature, you’ll transfer to the airport for your onward journey, carrying with you the unforgettable memories of a truly exceptional Kenyan safari experience.
