Day 1

Pickup from the airport or Hote land transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Pick up early in the morning after your breakfast at 7:00 is by Alive Africa Adventure guide from lodge or airport. In order to begin your scenic drive to Bwindi national park located in Kanungu district in the southwestern part of Uganda. Approximately a 539-kilometer drive by road from Kampala via Masaka. However, the long drive will provide you with a very adventurous and marvelous scenic drive view of the western vast land.
You will have a stopover at the equator for brief photography which will provide future memories about the wonderfully scenic drive to western Uganda. Have an en-route lunch in Mbarara for a brief refreshment for the long journey. And proceed with your adventurous drive to Bwindi later in the day arrive at Ruhija in the evening for relaxation and dinner at the lodge.

Day 2

Gorilla tracking and visit the Batwa community

After an early morning breakfast pickup by the guide to the park headquarters to meet your guide. And game ranger of the day who will take you through the park guidelines and precautions. Before you begin your gorilla trekking experience in the thick Bwindi forest,
Trekking requires a little more effort since it takes some good time. You might also require carrying along with you some light food staff and drinking water. To keep you on track with the trekking experience since it usually takes between 1 hour to half of your day inside the thick forest depending on the gorilla family you are tracking.
In the evening, you will have a guided community walk to visit the Batwa People or forest habitats. It is one of the most scenic walks in Bwindi. This experience will give an ideological understanding of the Batwa culture and social way of life. Then transfer back to lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Drive to Lake Bunyonyi and then proceed to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Bunyonyi for canoeing. This lake is dotted with 29 small islands which makes it a unique and beautiful destination while you cannot miss out on while in South Western Uganda. Among the islands visited is the Punishment Island where girls who got pregnant before marriage were dumped and starved to death, other notable islands include the upside-down islands and many more. After the canoe, you will have Lunch at Arcadia Lodge with beautiful views of the Lake and then Proceed to Lake Mburo National Park. You will reach the Park in the evening for relaxation and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4

After breakfast, go for a game drive through the park in search of various animals like the Hyenas, Zebras, buffaloes, Impalas, Antelopes, Elands, Giraffes among others as they return to their hideouts to hide from the scorching sunshine during the day. Return to the lodge for lunch, as you prepare for an evening boat cruise on Lake Mburo.
Immediately after lunch drive to Lake Mburo in the heart of the Park for a boat trip. You will have a chance to see various water games such as Hippos, crocodiles, birds, and sitatunga antelopes inhabiting papyruses surrounding the Lake. Having a cup of tea while watching the Golden skies during the sunset over the Lake is one most magical moment on Safari in Uganda. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5

Nature Walk and and Transfer back to Entebbe

Nature Walk and and Transfer back to Entebbe

Wake up very early in the morning and get ready for a morning Nature walk. This gives you an encounter of the wild on foot. During this walk you will be able to spot Zebras grazing freely with the long-horned cattle, different birds can also be sighted during this morning walk. After the walk, get back to the lodge for late breakfast and check out of the Lodge and drive back to Entebbe to End the Safari. You will stop at the Equator once again for Lunch, either the Packed Lunch from the lodge or you may decide to buy some hot Lunch at Cafeterias around. Buy some crafts Souvenirs to carry back home.
