Tarangire National Park
Following breakfast, your guide will pick you up from your accommodation, and you'll set off for Tarangire National Park. The journey takes around two and a half hours on well-paved roads. Named after the Tarangire River, which serves as the primary water source for wildlife during the dry season, this park is renowned for its elephant herds often seen gathering near the riverbanks. Keep an eye out for giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, as well as predators like lions and leopards. Tarangire boasts an impressive diversity of bird species, making it a birdwatcher's paradise. Ngorongoro Crater
Following breakfast, your journey will take you up into the cooler realms of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you lay eyes on the Ngorongoro Crater for the first time, it feels like stepping into a forgotten world. Encircled by steep volcanic walls, this pristine wilderness encompasses sweeping savannahs, patches of acacia woodland, and shimmering lakes and swamps. Formed by a colossal volcanic eruption and subsequent collapse millions of years ago, the crater spans an impressive 260 km².
