Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by air
You will be picked up around 7:00 am from Kampala or Entebbe by our guide, who will brief you about your tour. Later, you will be airlifted to the Kihihi airstrip and have a view of beautiful Uganda. Our staff will drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the southwest, which will take around 40 minutes. Lunch will be provided at Mahogany Springs Lodge on arrival. Later in the afternoon, you will relax at the lodge as you await your next day's activity, which will be very exciting.

Gorilla trekking and community walk
You will have an early breakfast at 6:30 am. With a packed lunch, you will move to the park headquarters to join other trackers in a briefing about the gorilla trekking rules at 7:30 am. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the gorillas, which can take between 1 and 8 hours. The steeply forested landscape is incredibly dense but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails, allowing access by tourists. You will stay with the gorillas for some time once they are seen. You have time to relax at the lodge and go for a community walk later.

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park and Bigodi Swamp walk
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale Forest National Park to have lunch in the Fort Portal area near Kibale Forest National Park. You can have stopovers in the far countryside that offer chances to view tea plantations along the drive through Fort Portal. Fort Portal is located in the shadow of the legendary Rwenzori Mountains, which forms a mystic backdrop to the beautiful volcanic landscape you are treated to on your drive from the town to the park.
Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge for relaxation. Later in the day, you will be transferred to the Bigodi Wetlands, situated on the Eastern edge of the forest. There, you will take a light walk to observe plenty of wildlife, including birds and many monkey species.

Chimpanzee trekking and flight back to Entebbe
After an early breakfast, you will transfer to the park offices to meet the ranger guides for a pre-trek briefing, after which you will set off to trek a community of chimpanzees in the forest. Up to 3 large communities of chimpanzees have been habituated for the trekking adventure. You will locate the chimps without too much strain since the territory of each chimp community is known beforehand by advanced trackers. Your guides will communicate these locations. While you trek through the forest, you will observe plenty of other wildlife. Other primates you may spot include red colobus monkey, L’Hoest's monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, and vervet monkey.
Return to your lodge to rest for a while before you transfer to the Kasese airstrip for your flight back to Kampala.
