It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and considered one of the Eighth Wonders of the World. Known for its high density of wildlife, the Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites. Tarangire National Park
Breakfast will be served at the lodge, after which we will depart for Tarangire National Park. The park derives its name from the Tarangire River, which flows through it. This river, often referred to as the ‘river of warthogs,’ serves as the sole source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season.
The park features diverse vegetation, including elephant grass, acacia woodlands, and lush groundwater forests. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant families that gather near the river, as well as sightings of giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest. These animals attract a variety of predators such as lions and leopards. Notably, Tarangire National Park hosts more breeding species of birds than any other location on Earth. Following a packed lunch and an extensive game drive, the guide will drop off to Arusha.
