After breakfast, Drive to Samburu National Park. Arrive at Samburu Game Reserve and check in at the lodge. Lunch. Late afternoon, depart for game drive until sunset.

The highlights of Samburu game reserve are the spectacular scenic beauty, rivers and forests. It is an area where the local people have a rich and colorful heritage. The reserves have numerous permanent springs and a wealth of wildlife which includes leopard, hippo, elephant, lion, reticulated giraffe, grevy’s zebra and crocodile in the EwasoNyiro river. Over 365 species of birds have been identified in the sanctuaries.

Day 5

Lake Bogoria

Lake Bogoria

After Breakfast & drive to Lake Bogoria National park, check in for lunch. In the afternoon, proceed with a game drive along the lake edges to see the flamingos and the hot water geysers and hot springs.

The lake Bogoria National Reserve is alkaline, feeding blue-green algae which in turn feed flamingos. At times the number of flamingos feeding in the lake may be as high as two million. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the shores of the lake Bogoria with a view of the Siracho escarpment to the east of the lake.

After breakfast you will drive to Amboseli Game Reserve where you will arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. In the afternoon, go for your first game drive.

The Park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. The ecosystem is mainly savannah grassland, spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Masai and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. Even though the majestic Kilimanjaro is located in Tanzania, the best view of it is in Amboseli National Park which is strategically located at the foot of the mountain. From the prehistoric site of Observation Hill, the sunset over Kilimanjaro is magnificent.
