Day 2

Enjoy a private flight from Brazzaville to the Mboko airstrip in Odzala-Kokoua National Park, departing at 1 pm on Mondays and Thursdays for an approximately 2-hour journey. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by the Kamba team and begin your adventure with a safari drive (2-3 hours) through the park's savanna and rainforest, leading you to your accommodation for the next 3 nights, Ngaga Lodge.
This evening, gather around the fire with your guide for a conservation and gorilla tracking briefing to prepare for your early morning trek in search of Western Lowland Gorillas.
You will spend 3 nights at Ngaga Lodge, with guided activities and all meals and drinks included. Your 7-night journey includes 2 gorilla tracking permits.

Begin your day with a morning walking safari followed by breakfast before departing to Lango. After that, take a raised wooden walkway through the wetlands and hop on a vehicle for a game drive to transfer to Mboko Lodge. The lodge is located at the meeting point of the forest and the savanna.
After lunch, you can opt for a forest walk or spend a relaxing afternoon at the camp's river deck. Later in the day, enjoy a river cruise along the Likeni River, which leads to a network of waterways surrounded by savannas. Cruise through the winding waterways and enjoy the ever-changing views around every bend in the river.

Transfer to Lango Camp

Begin your day with breakfast and one final exploration of Ngaga's pristine rainforest before departing on a road transfer to Mboko Lodge, a journey of approximately two hours through the park.
After lunch, embark on a serene kayak safari down the Lekoli River. As you drift along, you might spot monkeys, elephants, forest buffalo, and a vibrant variety of birds along the river's edge. Continue your adventure on foot, arriving at Lango Bai just in time to enjoy a refreshing sundowner and take in the breathtaking surroundings.
Lango Lodge, perched on the edge of Lango Bai, boasts some of the most stunning views of any camp in Africa. Elevated chalets and wraparound walkways provide an immersive experience with nature.

Your time at Lango Lodge is all about immersing yourself in nature, following in the footsteps of elephants along well-trodden trails through streams, baïs, and forests. Embrace the pristine landscape by getting wet and muddy as you trek on foot, or opt for drier adventures in the surrounding forests.
Observe flocks of green pigeons coming to roost, forest buffalo grazing, and, if you're fortunate, you might spot an elusive bongo or a shy forest elephant. As you wade through the water in the baï and waterways, you may even hear the distant calls of chimps echoing through Lango's mystical forests.
Today, you'll explore the baï, Lekoli River, and surrounding areas with guided walks through various biomes, retracing the steps of great explorers and uncovering the history and heritage of the region. Your guide will provide insights into the delicate ecosystem and the fascinating flora and fauna as you explore on foot.

Depart after breakfast for a game drive through the savanna to Mboko Airstrip. Your plane will be waiting to fly you back to Brazzaville. Upon arrival in Brazzaville, you will have a day room at Radisson Blu before your evening international flight home.
