Day 1

Nairobi - Masai Mara

Upon arrival at 06h30, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to our office to meet the group. You will then depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve via the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley and Narok town to refuel, arriving at camp in time for lunch. You will have a little siesta, and later, you will proceed on the first introduction game viewing in the Masai Mara National Reserve, returning to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Masai Mara Game Drive

Masai Mara Game Drive

After breakfast, proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, known as the Mara River, looking out for hippos and crocodiles. It is famous for the great migration from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara. Continue with the game drive until evening. Exit the park and head to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru

Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru

Today, you will visit a Maasai community, where you may engage with the locals and learn more about their way of life. Learn how they measure their wealth in terms of cattle and children, and later, dance with the Maasai warriors. After that, we go on a walking safari and eventually head to Lake Nakuru National Park with an optional activity of boat riding.

Lake Nakuru National Park is renowned for being the only place where you may see both black and white rhinoceros. You will be taking in the beauty of Lake Naivasha and Mount Longonot. You'll arrive at Lake Nakuru in the evening. Check in at the hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, proceed on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, known for its prolific birdlife including pink flamingoes. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline.

Drive to Nairobi with lunch en route, arriving between 15h00 and 16h00. You will be dropped off at the hotel, booked on a half-board basis to enable you to enjoy dinner and breakfast.

Day 5

Nairobi - Arusha

You will be picked up from your hotel in Nairobi and transferred to the Jeevanjee shuttle bus to Arusha. Depart Nairobi at 08h00 for a 5-hour drive to Arusha with a stopover at the Namanga border for immigration. You will arrive in Arusha between 14h00 and 15h00, where you will be picked up and transferred to the Charity Hotel, which is reserved on a half-board basis, with dinner on your own.

Day 6

Arusha - Serengeti

Arusha - Serengeti

This morning, you start phase two of your safari. Set out for the endless open plains and stunning skies of the Serengeti, arriving at the Serengeti plains in time for an afternoon game drive. Serengeti National Park is widely known for the great migration of wildebeest, and the plain is also home to elephants, cheetahs, lions, giraffes, and birds. Have a scenic 4-hour drive, a full game drive, and a late evening game drive. Dinner and overnight are at the camp.

Day 7

Serengeti - Ngorongoro

On this African Kenya and Tanzania budget wildlife safari tour, our final safari destination is the Ngorongoro Crater. After breakfast, you will have your final game drive in Serengeti National Park, known for the great wildebeest migration and many animals. Visit the Serengeti kopjes in search of prides of lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch, exit Serengeti National Park and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservancy area. Go on an optional visit to the local community. Enjoy dinner, a bonfire and an overnight stay at Simba Campsite.

Day 8

Ngorongoro - Arusha

After breakfast, a 4-wheel drive vehicle will take you 2,000 feet into the crater. You can explore and view animals at a depression angle till you arrive at the crater rim. Ngorongoro Crater has a stunning landscape of vast expanses of woodlands, savannahs, forests and highlands. This is combined with a high concentration of wildlife like rhinos, big cats, lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, buffalos, and many more. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater.

You will ascend the crater and drive back to your hotel in Arusha, arriving between 17h30 and 18h30. This is the end of the tour.
